Wearing White!

Another day full of stuff to do. I'll post a few pictures of "white week" which has not been nearly as fun as pink week because I've had so much RS stuff to do...oh well! I forgot to wear white, so I put this dandy headband on...

Ever had pink mashed potatoes?

We have!

Here we are preparing the pink fluff: pink lemonade: The girls were given a bowl & asked to put a variety of pink things in them for a center piece. This is what Sydnee chose, she dumped it out on the table (yum, boots on the table). Ava loved this assignment & is showing us that she put practical things in her bowl as well- a pink tea set! It was a pink-a-lious-ly fun night of eating pink food! Our complete menu: ham & pineapple, pink mashed potatoes, pink-dyed corn, pink rosemary bread, & pink fluff! Todd got to bring the left-overs to work the next day, he said he got some funny looks- but that it didn't bother him in the slightest. The pink left-over entree reminded him of the girls he loves best! Next week: WHITE!

Think Pink

Today is Pink Week, so here's a few things we've done today. Our FHE, we played Candy Land after reading the Three Little Pigs. The girls had a hard time following the rules. :) Our Pink Dessert- yum! And pink bread, just for fun.

A Colorful Summer

So to help Sydnee learn her colors, I am borrowing an idea from a friend, Rachel. For Spring Break this year they did a color a day & did all sorts of fun things with that color. So we are planning to do something similar, but spread it out over the entire week. Here is our schedule:

Monday: Family Home Evening (introducing the color)

Tuesday: Wear the Color

Wednesday: Make Something crafty with the color

Thursday: Special Meal

Friday: Play a game/watch a movie

Saturday: Go do something

Sunday: Read a book about the color

We let the girls choose the colors, so here is the order (subject to change)

June 15-21: Pink Week

June 22-28: White Week

June 29-July 5: Blue Week

July 6-12: Green Week

July 13-19th: Yellow Week

July 20-26th: Black Week

July 27-Aug 2: Brown Week

August 3-9th: Red Week

August 10-16th: Purple Week

August 17th-23rd: Orange Week

August 24th-30th: Rainbow

If you have any ideas that might aide this summer adventure- please share...and wish us luck!

Because I'm CRAZY!!

Well I only had a mildly busy week, so I thought I would rearrange my HOUSE! Brilliant ain't I? Anyhow, it's pretty much done...so I thought I would share what I did. Be impressed...no really BE IMPRESSED! Because I am CRAZY! Most people on "light" weeks try to relax...sigh...I think I relaxed on Monday! Maybe...oh well. Now the kids have a play room, with space availability for a blow-up matress when we have company. And I have my office with a bed so we can sleep multiple people!
My new stampin' spot: The very full closet: The girls' play room (my former office): My computer stayed here.Their closet for toys (note the trash bags...it's a long story, let's just say those are off limits till someone behaves! This used to display my current stuff, now it's a book center! *SIGH* Done.

Happy Birthday Sydnee!

Sydnee turned 2 on Sunday, so we had a party for her at the Children's Museum on Saturday. Unforunately, it was on the same day & time as a Primary activity, so lots of our friends couldn't come (hey, we're not old enough for Primary- so I didn't know!) Anyhow, we still had a great time with the family & friends that could come. The theme was MONKEYS!
