I've been in a funk these last 2 days, and I'm working on getting myself out- BUT it is work! I have plenty to post, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I will aim for tomorrow, at least for my stamping blog...and here- whenever I feel like it! Thanks for your patience. :)
In the meantime, I've read 2 books in 2 weeks! :) That may sound like bragging, but its not. I wish I could spread out the love a little, but usually when I get into a book- I just have to finish it. I wasn't this way in college, I could easily leave an exciting book to study, but now in real life- I just waste the day away in a book...and trust me when I say that sometimes, there's nothing better. So, check them out:
Before the Dawn by Dean Hughes and
Sundays at Tiffanys by James Patterson & Gabrielle Charbonnet
Fun, easy reads...which is just what I need! Any books you've like lately?

Just call me Paper Biter
I am working hard to finish my submissions to the Artisan project, although at this point I'd rather just scream into my pillow. I'm not sure why I put myself into the torture of the Artisan, but hey- I figure this is a now or never deal for me this year, so I'm giving it my all...which, may not be enough! Anyhow, I just wanted to share something funny with you before I get truckin' on some more stuff. I only have a few projects left.
Last night I had a dream that I was some sort of superhero/villain (I'm not sure) who was a vampire (of sorts). {Insert guffaw here} Anyhow, to "activate" my powers I had to bite through different sheets of colored card stock. Yes, I am officially losing my mind. :) Hilarious. Maybe a little too much Twilight, and a little too much stamping. Now back to work... Have you ever dreamt about something crazy that you're working on? I'd love to hear your stories, I obviously need a laugh!

Some fun info on my dear hubbie
I have got to balance everything well today so that we can be in full party mode when Todd is around. So I'm busy today. Todd's seminary students surprised him today with donuts- his favorite- and a little scavenger hunt to find them. :) I'm anxious to hear how it went. They also asked for a little information on Todd & this is what I said:
Here are some things on Todd. I hope this is what you are looking for! If I can help with the surprise let me know- the girls and I would be happy to make a special appearance!
Quick bio: Todd Robert Blackhurst was born April 2nd in Salt Lake City Utah. He is the oldest of 4 children. Todd & his family moved to Texas when he was 14 when his Dad became the recorder at the Dallas Temple. On their drive to Texas, Todd got food poisoning and was sick the whole trip. Todd attended Lake Centennial High School in Garland (in Dallas) where he graduated in the top 20 of his class. In high school Todd belonged to the school choir and also competed at Nationals in Men’s Volleyball. Todd broke his thumb on a skiing trip his junior year and had to give up his dream of playing volleyball for college. Todd attended Texas A&M University after high school, majoring in Industrial Engineering. He left school after the first year to go on his mission. He served in the Mendoza, Argentina speaking Spanish. He came home after 2 years and worked for a time while spending quality time with his family. The Spring after he returned from his mission, he returned to Texas A&M. There he became friends with Lindsey Blackhurst. After a year of friendship, he told Lindsey he “liked her” and they began dating in November of 1999. Soon after they began dating, Todd began his cooperative education with M&M/Mars in Waco, where he works today. Todd proposed to Lindsey in December of 2000 while she visited him during his co-op and they were married in May of 2001. After Todd graduated in December of 2002, he went to work in Center, Texas- which is actually about as east as you can go in Texas- for Tyson Chicken. Todd & Lindsey bought their first home and car in Nacogdoches. In February of 2005, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Ava Grace into their family. During this time, Todd sustained a High Priest and served in the Bishopric for the Nacogdoches Ward. Later that year Todd moved his family back to Waco, Texas so he could continue working at M&M/Mars. In June of 2006, the family welcomed their second daughter, Sydnee Elayna. Todd was called to be a seminary teacher in 2008, and he loves his class, talks about how proud he is of them, and works hard on their lessons every day.
Happy Birthday, Todd!
Other fun information:
Todd likes almost any food that you put in front of him & its easier to list what he doesn’t like than all the things he loves to eat. Those 6 things are: Cheetos, Rice Crispie Treats, Olives, Macaroni and Cheese, pomegranate, radishes. :)
Todd favorite sport is volleyball, but he loves watching college football.
Todd won the family league of Fantasy Football this year.
Todd is an avid reader and has read most of the classics, and many, many more- including the Harry Potter series, the Eragon series, and the Twilight series.
Todd’s dream job would be as an inventor, raking in the money on royalties and going to school full-time just for the fun of it.
Todd’s life-time dream is to set up a foundation for unprivileged families and to be instrumental in helping people after disasters- such as Hurricane Rita, which he experience 1st hand.
Todd is a talented color pencil artist & singer.
His favorite place to be is home with his family.
